about me

I consider myself an artist, first and foremost, but, as I've gotten older, my focus has become creativity of thought within social justice and civic engagement. My university studies led me to a course in Public Policy, and ever since, the core of my professional career lies in a deep commitment to public policy, civil rights protections, and addressing systemic inequities.

After having a small photography business for 7 years, an educational background in documentary film, local journalism, and visual storytelling, and professional experience in public policy, I continue to explore new projects in all arenas. My experience as a photographer strengthened my ability to contribute to local storytelling practices, and transformed to asking how I could contribute to the world outside of only visual mediums.

Currently, I work as a policy researcher, analyst, and media specialist, while honing my artistic skills in specific projects that call to me.
