As the head of the visuals department at the CU Independent, I manage events, create assignments photographers, ensure AP style in all photographs used by the paper, curate images to fit stories, and coordinate consistently with other editors.
As a photographer, I report, coordinate with writers and shoot events with a quick turnaround time. Efficiency, accuracy, and storytelling are key components of this work.
PIKE Fraternity Sexual Assault Protest
On Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, hundreds of students gathered at Phi Kappa Alpha to protest alleged sexual assaults. The protest began at an underpass between Kittredge Central and CU’s Center for Community at 5:30 pm and made its way down Broadway towards Phi Kappa Alpha.
